Megawatt’s Energy Management System

Our system cuts power costs by optimizing when machines run. It reads MISO day-ahead and real-time prices, curtails machines when power runs expensive, and forecasts the hours likely to set peak demand charges so load comes down before they hit. Every decision comes with a plain-language explanation of what the system saw and why it acted. We've run it in production across our own fleet for a long time. It's now in beta for outside operators.

We run it live, compare its decisions against what the market actually did, and adjust the thresholds from there. Each input we add, like weather, tightens the forecast, and we keep adding them.

Internal ticket system

We're upgrading our internal ticket system around individual machines rather than batches. You get more detail on which of your units is in service and where it stands, and our techs work off that unit's full history, which cuts down repair turnaround.

Difficulty keeps going down - Difficulty fell 1.31% to 125.81 trillion at block 963,648, the network's 17th adjustment of 2026. That's down from 148.25 trillion in January, with 10 drops against seven increases so far. Every machine still online now earns a bigger share of each block.

Bitcoin's Best August in Five Years - Bitcoin closed out August above levels it hadn't held since May, breaking a four-year streak of red Augusts. Price up while difficulty falls is the best setup miners have had all year.

Coldcard Security Advisory - Coinkite disclosed a seed generation flaw affecting Mk2, Mk3, Mk4, Mk5 and Q. Updating firmware fixes new seeds but does not repair an existing one, so anyone who generated a seed on older firmware needs a new seed and a migration of funds. If you self-custody on a Coldcard, read the advisory and move carefully.

The Cheapest Entry in Years - ASIC prices track Bitcoin's cycles, and with the market well off its 2025 high, current-gen machines cost less of bull-run pricing. For anyone looking to build a position, that makes now one of the better windows in years to deploy at a low hardware cost basis.
