A couple of months ago, we asked you to test our Calculator prototype. Today we’re happy to share our new and improved Bitcoin Mining Investment Calculator!

Remember: our goal is not just to show you how much it costs to mine a Bitcoin. We want you to understand how Bitcoin mining fits into your overall investment portfolio.

We’ve added a number of variables to help find your optimal investment. Not just basics like hashrate, power cost, and time horizon, but also more granular inputs like pool fees, network growth, and of course personal investment goal and tax rate.

You can try near infinite combinations, and lock or isolate different variables to examine the impact of individual inputs. This includes tax rate and depreciation, which we encourage experimenting with especially.

You can track the progress of your investment over the years in different time frames, mapping out multiple scenarios and contingencies.

• Rare 2 Block Reorg by Foundry We saw a brief reshuffle of block order thanks to a block mined by Foundry USA. Two-block reorgs are uncommon but not abnormal, reflecting timing and propagation dynamics between large pools.
  

• Mined in America Act Introduced in Senate Introduced by Senators Bill Cassidy and Cynthia Lummis, the bill aims to reshore U.S. bitcoin mining, reduce reliance on Chinese hardware, and codify a Strategic Bitcoin Reserve into law.
